Scituate
School Committee The
Scituate School Committee consists of five members who are
elected at-large for four-year terms. The School Committee is
responsible for establishing general school policies, which are
administered by the Superintendent of Schools The
School Committee meets monthly on the first Tuesday of the month.
If needed, an additional meeting may be called on the third
Tuesday of the month. Executive
Sessions, if needed, will precede or immediately follow the open
public meeting. Consistent
with the Open Meetings Law, all meetings are open to the public
and the agenda is published in the Observer on the Thursday prior
to the meeting. Meetings begin at 7:00PM and are typically held
in the Town Council Chambers, 197 Danielson Pike, North Scituate.
Several times during the course of the year meetings are held at
the schools. The location of the meeting is published along with
the agenda. Any person requiring an accommodation in order to
attend a meeting should call the Affirmative Action Officer at
647-4100 at least two business days in advance.
